Congrats Paul Strang for you Honorable Mention at MIPcc23

Paul Strang, PhD student in our team, received an Honorable Mention at the MIP Workshop 2023 Computational Competition (MIPcc23) held at the University of Southern California!

MIPcc23, organized on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Mixed Integer Programming Workshop, challenged participants to solve Mixed Integer Programs efficiently under reoptimization — i.e., after slight changes to input data. Our team proposed Influence Branching, a graph-oriented variable selection strategy combined with multi-armed bandit hyperparameter tuning (Thompson sampling) to learn to solve MIPs online.
